Members may be aware that St Josephs College have submitted planning permission to build a number of homes on their site. These proposals include a road built alongside the club boundary.
Having reviewed the plans the Management Committee will be submitting an objection as we feel that some the proposals could have a detrimental effect on our outside space, members using the space and also the residents of these new properties over looking a well used sports pitch. We are also concerned about traffic implications for Belstead road. We would encourage our members and guests to take a look at the plans and associated documents on the Ipswich Borough Council website, to review the drawings and the potential impact on the local area. We will also have a copy of the drawings and documents available at club. Responses to the plans should be submitted by the 16th August.
